I really love to read outside. Sometimes I will go out on my deck and read. I also like to read in my bed. It is nice and warn when you are curled up under a blanket. When I do read in my bed, I usually fall asleep. I would really enjoy reading on the beach but that does not happen too often, only on vacations. If I am not in a quiet place when I read my mind tends to disseminate and I cannot concentrate on what I read.

I am still reading Speak and nothing really interesting has happened yet. The only thing was that the story corroborated my suspicion that the IT she keeps talking about is a guy at her school. The IT is what caused her life to go downhill, but I don't know why yet.

My favorite place to read is my room. When I was little i used to read in my closet but now I'm a liitle to big. If i have a good book my room is a great place to read because i can be by myself and someone not coming in is contingent. Today in my book The Call of the Wild there was a satiate fight between Buck and Spitz two dogs who were competing for the lead spot on the sled team. They fought to the death with Buck winning which did everyone a favor.

My absoloute favorite spot to read is in my room in my fluffy pink bucket chair next to my lamp. I love getting into comfy, DOWDY clothes and curling up with my book. Another one of my favorite places to read is laying out by a pool. I love how warm it is, and it helps me to concentrate on what is going on. When I read outside, I make sure to wear my sunscreen to protect me from the PERNICIOUS sun, though. Nothing too exciting happened in my book today except that the girl who was called a princess was forced to become a scullery maid. I won't say why though, in case anyone wants to ever read this book.

Hi everyone :]

My favorite place to read is in my room. I just love to get in my bed, with all of the warm covers, and read. This usually is the only place where I can stay focused on what I am reading and at the same time, the books satiate my need to read.

What I love most about reading, is that you can get lost in a good book. The best part is how it can seem as if you are close to the characters and it's as if you are their closest friend because you are perceptive to all of their feelings and past experiences.

Nothing major has hapened in my book today. I am still reading Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen. Yes, I know I am a slow reader.

I love to read in my room. It kind of isolates me from the rest of the hetic world. I also really enjoy reading outside. I like to read on my deck when it's warm out. When I read a good book I love books that seem like they could be real. For example, Twilight, that would be amazing if it was actually real. Love stories are good to and books with perceptive characters. Also, books with gauche characters make me laugh. Sort of like Holden in Catcher in the Rye.

My favorite place to read is in my room. I like to sit on my bed and read without any distractions so I can really focus. I do not like to read outside because I feel extremely gauge. I feel like all of my neighbors are staring at me. I know, I am totally paranoid. I also do not like to read outside because I am extremely pale. I would have to pile on the sunscreen to save me from the pernicious sun (I know how you feel Haley). That is why I prefer to snuggle up in a blanket in my room. The thing I love most about reading a good book is seeing everything that's happening in your mind. It is like watching a movie. Nothing interesting happened in Prep, Lee is still gauge (like me outside)!

I like to read on my bed. It satiates my need for comfort and sometimes my cat comes and lays on my leg. It also has the perfect lighting.

I am reading Brisingr, the 3rd book of the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini. Eragon and Saphira are back and saving Alagaesia for the rule of the evil Galbatorix. I would say more, but i know a lot of people need to read it and I don't want to spoil anything!

Oh and again, this is Lyndsey.

I like reading usually anywhere lying down. On my bed, or outside maybe on a blanket, etc. I find it hard to read in a chair unless it super comfy and soft!

In my book the Tea House Fire Aurelia the main character runs away from her uncle Charles in Japan. And she hides out in some family's backyard tea area where she becomes a denizen of a small building. A girl who she thinks in 16 dressed in a fluoride kimono finds her hiding in the building but she didn't tell anyone about Aurelia. they can't communicate since she doesn't have a whole grasp on Japanese yet.

I love reading in bed. I like to read on the couch too if none of my family members bug me. I can read in the quet but usually I will read with my ipod on, or radio, or my laptop. The only time i can't read is when people are talking or the tv is on, it's just distracting.
Today I read Sam's Letters, I started it last year and I'm picking it up again because the book i brought in sucked. Jenifer woke up with Sam's letters disseminate all over the guest room. After she grabbed breakfast and went to the porch she saw somthing rather odd. A dowdy (dowdy as in naked) man was screaming like a banchee running toward the lake. He dove in swam then left. Is that not really wierd?

I love to read outside. I like to read out there because that way it isn’t too quiet but it’s very peaceful. What I like most about reading a good book is you get away from reality. You’re in the book not dealing your life and I love that! Reading satiates me when I want to get away from life.
Today I started Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. People have been recommending that I read them and I have the first four so I thought I would give them a try. Today I didn’t read much but what I read was about the Dursley family. Mr. Dursley went to work and everything was being very weird there were odd occurrences happening around town. All day, Mr. Dursley heard a rumor about his wife’s sister disseminating around the town. Mrs. Dursley hated her sister and the only part of the rumor that he heard was something about his nephew, Harry. They had never met him and hadn’t seen the Potters in a long time so Mr. Dursley was confused as to why this was a rumor spreading around town. That’s about all I read today!

I am like Smantha, I love reading outside. I also like to read in my bed at night, but then I get really tired and fall asleep. I can read anywhere though. My thoughts and attention span never seem to DISSEMINATE no matter how loud the music and/or people are around me.

This week I am reading Cinderella Man which is a true story. It's about a professional Boxer, Jimmy Braddock and his family before and during the Depression. This book is about how far a man will go to take care of his family, even after their lives go from FLORIDE to nothing in an instant. This book shows the true definition of love and loyalty, in my opinion.
P.S. This book might sound familiar because there was a movie made after it too, it's also very good!

What I love most about reading a GOOD book is becoming one with the story. Its like you're truly in the book with the characters! I love the feeling that I could actually be in it with them(Sorry I forgot to add that in my first blog guys! oops)

I'll read pretty much anywhere- in my room, in the car, curled up on the couch. I love reading outside in my front yard during the summer though. I usually take a beach towel out or something and lay in the grass and the sun and read. It satiates me to relax and get lost in the book.
I'm still reading The Book Theif. I really love the style the book is written in. It has great word choice and the words flow really well, but it has a modern, everyday feel when you read it. A lot of the time, the narrator will emphasize a detail or somehow cause the reader to notice the symbolism or something of a situation. I'm still confused about who the narrator is, though. He isn't palpable; he says he only saw the book theif three times, yet he still knows her thoughts and feelings and the story of her life. It's very confusing.

To day i changed my booked to Tim O'Brien's "The Things They Carried". Acyually, i didnt want to switch, but it's ok, I've corrobated that this book is better than the one i was reading.

It's contingent that i will read exclusivelly in my room. But i have been reading elsewhere lately. Mostly in the living room, but i've also tried it outside. It's rare but it's a nice break from my room.

I love to read outside in the sun or by the pool. I think it is the most relaxing place to read. Although when it is winter i love to read in my bed under the covers. I love to feel DOWDY when i read becasue it just makes it that more relaxing.
The book i am reading is DISCURSIVE at some points. Although it is a very interesting book. I didn't realize that it was going to change from one point of view to another. I can't wait to read from the net man's point of view.

Today i continued reading The Truth About Forever. It is an awesome book! I think that Macy is going to start liking the boy she begins to wrok with. Its about to get very interresting! this book pernicious and addicting!

My favorite place to read is for sure in my bed! I love reading in my bed for many reasons. One being its all warm and comfy and two becuase i can just settle in and read. Its also very peaceful to me. My bed deffenitley is salient when comparing places to read!

I love to read on my bed under blankets with a cup of green tea. Sometimes in the summer when I am dragged of to a lake to have "fun" I read by the water to avoid the gauche of splashing around pretending to enjoy myself. What I love most about reading a good book is the how I can't put it down. Usually when I really get into a book I'm hooked. It's a good deal of entertain for about a day. I can finish huge books in a day if it's really great like the seventh Harry Potter book and Breaking Dawn.

I'm now reading "Dry" by Augusten Burroughs. I havn't read much yet but so far it's pretty good but nothing very interesting has happen yet. It is contingent that I will finish the it but it all depends if I can get to Barnes and Nobles to buy "Brisingr". I really want to read it because it just came out on Saturday and it looks really great.

Unknown said...

If i had to pick a favorite place it would probably be my room. I like it because it is always quiet and I don't get bothered when i am in there. That is really the only reason why I like reading there.
Today i read the Plague Maker for the fourth time. It really hasn't changed much since the last time i read the book. They were just talking about how they think a certain type of flea might be spreading the Bubonic plague again. The interesting part was they think that it was an act of terrorism that started the plague again. That is about what happened today during reading workshop.

(Found an annoying typo in my first post, decided to give it a second try.)

In summer, I love to read outside in a lawn chair tanning with an iced tea sitting next to me at my mom's house. Or, at my dad's house, I love reading in my favorite branch in the apple tree in the back yard, especially when I can reach up and grab a ripe, juicy apple when I feel like it. It's too bad that huge storm swept by and disseminated all of the apples on the tree a week or so ago. I'd like to read on the beach, but I'm obsessed with moving water, so I'd be standing in it looking for seashells or fighting the waves instead of reading. In winter and at night, I love to read curled up in my bed, maybe with some soft piano music playing in the background.

I'm still reading Breaking Dawn because I never have much time to read anymore except in class! It's getting better than the beginning, I must say. The only thing I don't like about this part is it's dragging on entirely too slow. I keep waiting for the pernicious visit from the Volturi, but they are still preparing for their arrival. Still, I'm loving the detail that Stephenie Meyers puts into her writing. I can watch it in my head just like a movie.

I don't have any particular place to read but I love reading when it rains. I have this couch that when you sit on it you sink down into the coushins. It's pushed up against my some bay windows and you can see the rain hit the glass eluminated by the thunder. THe sound of the pounding water just inches from where you are is claming and helps you get into a really good book. I also love reading there when the sun is just about to come up. The florid colors of the trees right outside makes you feel isolated from the world in your own paradise.
The book I'm reading is Briswingr which is a segual to Eragon and Eldest. Right now the main character is intertwined in a ton of politics but puts you on the edge of your seat becuase battles are constantly breaking out. While most people quail with fear at the sight of gore the characters of Eragon and Arya are charging forward. With a little romance a ton of action and some controversal conflicts the book has enough blance to keep me reading for hours.

-Today I started reading the book "The Party Room" by Morgan Burke. I actually bought this book last year at Borders when we went as a class but just hadn't read it yet. The book hasn't completely satiated my expectations for a great book yet, but we'll see. The book is contingent though to be really good by what I read on the back cover. It's hard to tell if you're really going to be interested if you've only read a chapter or two. So far all that's happened is that there are two girls sitting in the party room drinking but they're underage. The book has been explaining the girls and they sound really pretty and rich by what the book describes them as. I'm really excited to keep reading though, so far it's kept my attention good enough.

-My favorite place to read would probably be in my purple fuzzy chair in my room underneath my japenese lantern or outside sitting on my table and chair set by my pond with the waterfall on. Both are very relaxing and quiet so I'm not getting distracted by anything else. The only bad thing about reading outside is that the weather can be hard to deal with if it's hot, rainy, muggy, cold, etc. But if it's a nice, sunny day outside towards the evening to beat out the afternoon heat then it's perfect! These spots are also good places for me to read at because I'm sitting up. If I'm laying down in bed or on a couch I'm more likely to fall asleep then read.

I'm like you to i like ready in bed lying down. And when its nice out i like reading outside when theres a nice breeze

Megan:
I saw the movie Cinderella man awhile ago and it was a great movie, so i think the book would be really good also

Unknown said...

Maria- Reading when it rains sounds really nice. Rainy weather is my favorite. If I get a good book I could read all day. I never thought about that answer but I really like it.

Amanda Lin- Your books sounds very intersting. I like reading books about different cultures. I find it interesting that they can't talk to each other and I wonder how they will communicate.

Taylor said...

It seems as if most people, including myself enjoy reading in the bed or in an outside environment.
Sam: I am really surprised you arn't enjoying Speak yet! I really loved that book and the movie as well.
Amanda L: I've heard of that book before but you were the first to actually explain what it's about. It sounds as if it's packed with adventure and suspense.

Unknown said...

Leann- Pretty much everyone liked to read in their room or outside. I like that you read in an apple tree. That is so cool.

Allen- (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) but I think your book sounds interesting. I don't like history, but that booka ctually sounds good.

Chirsta- I love how descriptive you were in your explaination haha.

Unknown said...

Amanda: I hate trying to read while I'm lying down. I will usually fall asleep or my neck will get stiff. I also hate it because my arms get tired from trting to hold the book up for hours.

Leann: I am obsessed with the fact that you read in a tree. I would love to try that out, but knowing me, I would probably fall out.

Emily G said...

Audrey- I'm so glad you're reading the Harry Potter books! I think they're fascinating and I hope you like them.
Taylor- I forgot to include it in my blog, but you basically said exactly how I feel about my favorite part of reading- I love feeling as if I know the characters really well and learning about their lives and stuff!I also agree with Chris- I love being hooked on a book that's amazing and not being able to put it down!
LeAnn- I like your post and I pretty much agree with it so... go you!

Unknown said...

Maria- The place where you read sounds really relaxing and a good spot to read at. Your description of it was really good and it makes me want to see what this spot looks like becuase it sounds amazing!

Amanda C- Your book sounds really weird so far. That is such a different way to start a book. Usually you get to know the characters first and it's sort of slow starting but that first action probably really pulls you in to want to see what happens next.

Megan- Your book sounds really good even though it is a typical love story. There have been so many love storiees written but I still love to read them and this moral sounds really cute. I wouldn't mind reading this book at all. I hope it ends up being really a good book for you.

Anonymous said...

Leann i like where you read your books. I should start maybe looking for some more creative places to read my books. Like in the woods or on my boat, something fun and different.

Hey alan it sounds like that book hasnt changed in awhile, do you still even like it?

Anonymous said...

Hey everyone! I agree with everybody who likes to read on their bed. It is really a nice spot to sit and read. I can concentrate there and keep focus.

Christia, your book sounds good. I know I read the books from borders once I bought them. The book sounds interesting. I enjoy books that keep my attention. You should tell me how that book turns out once you finish.

Tara said...

I know this sounds corny...but I love reading in the bathtub! For me, since I have a six year-old, it is the only place that I can get some peace! But seriously, I have a whole set-up there - I sometimes even take a snack. Once, when I was in college and living at home, I put a pillow in the tub with me (my mom was not happy about that!), I set up a fan so that I stayed cool despite the hot water (I hate when I start sweating in the tub!), and I set up a table that I used for my soda and snack. I also love reading outside under a tree (so I am shaded) because I, too, suffer terrible burns. The perfect day to read is when it is 60 degress or so...with a blanket covering me. Ahhh...such a wonderful escape!!

Unknown said...

Chrita- I most deffinetley agree that laying down is a really bad way to read! If I lay i sleep! But reading by a pond would be nice to do too. That sounds really relaxing and quiet.

Mrs. Stallman- You're bathtub story is pretty humorus. My mom would have laughed at me after getting mad i took 486 other things in the bathroom that clearly do not belong there!

Megan- Your book sounds really good! It sounds quite captivating. Love stories are always good. Even the repeated Cinderella based love stories. They're all the same but have little tweeks here and there that make them different from one another.

Unknown said...

Maria- That couch is awesome. I bet it would be an awesome place to read.

Amanda l- That book sounds really good. It must be hard for the girl to be so far away from home without her mother. I'll have to look for that book somewhere.

Audrey said...

maria- i love to read when it rains! i agree that it is very relaxing.

megan- i saw that movie a while ago and it was a good movie. i hope that the books is even better!

Unknown said...

Andrea- Me and you are really pale, which is why I said my first favorite place was in my room. When I do read outside though, I make sure to wear my SPF 60!

Everyone(almost)-it seems like most people like reading in their bed. It is so comfy to just curl up in warm jammies and get snuggled in the covers with a book. It's so easy to get comfy there.

Unknown said...

nn: Ditto to what Andrea said! Thats why I've never tried reading in a tree because when I get really excited about something in a book I jump up and down or some thing so I'd probably fall out because I'd forget I was in the tree! Also I'm very glad you like Breaking Dawn now.

Taylor: The book your reading looks very interesting, I looked at it right after class. I think I'm going to check it out from the library after I read all the ohter books on my list!

Unknown said...

IDK why it says NN om my first blog. Thats supposed to say LEAnn. Opps!

Unknown said...

Amanda C

Mrs. Stallman- That is a very origional place to read. Sounds fun! My mom would have gotten real mad.

Maria- That's my favorite couch at your house too! haha. Reading in the rain is amazing. I love thunderstorms when you read a creepy book, it adds to the effect.

Emily- That is a real cool place to read. You can tan and read at the same time!

Unknown said...

Maria - I agree about reading when it's raining. I love it when it's pouring and I can sit on my porch with the windows open and listen to the rhythm of the raindrops. There's nothing better to relieve stress than that! I want to start reading the Eldest series. It's been on my book list for a while now, I can't wait until I put a dent in that list and get around to reading it!

Corrine - I agree, I love spending time in my room. It's my sanctuary, or my oasis, per se. My little portion of the world that I can control and design. I love reading love stories too, just because it's easy to get lost in them and feel good while you're reading it. Like you're experiencing the love yourself. I also love books that make me cry (is that weird?). Same with movies. Anyway, I've started to go off in a little discursive tangent here. Shutting.

Anonymous said...

Maria: I also really love reading in the rain. I absoulutly in love with storms. I love all the sounds and the smell of rain but it's also when I sleep best. The sounds usually help me sleep so I've always wanted to live in Seattle. I also really like being awake at sunrise though I'm usually not in the mood to read. I stay up until about 6 am every summer and then I sleep.

Sam: I know what you mean about falling asleep in your bed when you're reading. It depends on what book I'm reading. When I was reading The Catcher in the Rye I fell asleep about a thousand times. I really did.

Unknown said...

Andrea: I no what you mean but thats why i just read on my deck or something. It's really weird if your neighbors are outside doing yard work or something like that.

To all of those poeple who love to read in there room: I also love to read in my room. It is just so relaxing. If you fall asleep you don't have to worry about not being in your bed. Falling asleep while reading a book is the best thing to do.

Unknown said...

everyone who loves to read in thier room-I like reading in my room to escape the chaos of the day or the inconsiderate people who persistantly talk while you're trying to read. Although I feel cramped. I often read hours on end and move from one room to another through out the day just to finish a book. I'll start in my room and move to the living room then the family room, and end up in the couch in the basement. Although the famly room couch is my favorite spot.
Megan- That is awsome! I never knew there was a book! I loved Cinderella man and find it fasinating that it was based off a book. Te next chance I get I would love to look it up and red it.

Unknown said...

(im responding from my phone so i cant do capitals.)
olivia: when i was a kid i read in my closet to! i would crawl behind my dresser with my book light sometimes.
amanda calvin: my laptop is always in front of me when im reading. i like looking things up as i read.
chris: i like reading outside but i just cant do it by a lake. i tried when we went camping last year but i cant focus. i end up in teh water every time.

Hey, it's Greg. I'm reading A Wrinkle in Time, and it cneters around a dowdy girl named Meg who struggles to find her place in school and with her family. Her father is missing, and she knows that he his in a pernicious situation. It's great and entertaining to read.

I liked the reading in the closet one. I thought that it was pretty funny because my sister did that when she was a little younger. I myself could never do that because my closet is destroyed.
